Asset Management

Our Group’s Asset Management System (AMS) provides a systemised approach to managing our asset portfolio and making decisions about investments in our current and new assets. It brings together several disciplines (for example, engineering, safety and finance) in one system. Through this, it provides team members with policy, procedures and guidance to balance asset performance, cost and risk, as well as our net-zero by 2050 ambition, together with supporting compliance with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements.

Each of our networks and pipelines has a strategic asset management plan in place that informs a capital and operational works plan. This plan is informed by our Group’s regular reviews of risks, issues, emerging concerns and opportunities through a sustainability lens.

Our AMS has ISO5501:2014 – Asset Management System certification.
