Leading energy infrastructure service provider Zinfra is inviting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led organisations to apply for funding as part of its 2026 First Nations Grants program. Organisations operating in in Townsville, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and across Tasmania and Victoria are eligible for funding.

Under the program, grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led organisations and community groups delivering initiatives which provide support services (including hands-on crisis support like accommodation and food pantries); strengthen community wellbeing and cultural connection; or create pathways into training and employment.

Applications are invited from organisations based in selected areas where Zinfra operates, including Tasmania (all regions), Victoria (all regions) and Townsville, Brisbane and the Gold Coast in Queensland.

Zinfra’s Managing Director, Peter Iancov said the grants program reflects a commitment by the organisation to deepen relationships with First Nations communities across its footprint.

“We’re proud to be introducing our First Nations Community Grants in Queensland and Tasmania for the first time,” Mr Iancov said.

“We’re hoping to receive applications from groups that provide meaningful outcomes for First Nations people in their community, whether that’s immediate help to provide basic needs like food programs, as well as programs that support education, training and cultural connection.”

Applications are now open for eligible organisations, closing on 21 June 2026.
